about

lyrics

It’s happened more than once
And I know
It's gonna come through now
It's like I thought so many times before
Didn't say a word 'til now

As long as I can see what's going on
I can get to thinking
You’re coming back again

These last few days with the television on
Waiting for the phone to ring
I got myself to thinking I was wrong
I’ll never be right again

As long as you can tell me where I belong
I can get to thinking
You’re coming back again

Give me the price and
I'll repay you
Or you can give me the place
And I'll meet you
I'll meet you

As long as you can tell me where I belong
I can get to thinking
You’re coming back again
Coming back again

from I'll Repay You: A Benefit for John Fackler - featuring the songs of John Fackler and Jettison, released May 20, 2016
Written by John Fackler, who doesn't have all the words necessary to describe how much he loves this version by Suicide Robins, but he will try.

1. So punk. John is a big fan of this type of punk. The "get up and form a band!" type.
2. He loves how in-your-fucking-face it is
3. He LOVES the backup vocals, especially before the "guitar solo" of which he never wrote one, and one still remains unwritten on this version with Melissa playing guitar. John would have it no other way. Just hit the guitar with your hand and make it make a loud noise. That's good enough. Maybe slam your guitar against your amplifier. Try to draw blood. That should do it.

John's version was always "Please come back, please".

Suicide Robins' version is more "Fuck you"

John loves this difference.
